‘Living Room’ is a contemporary installation set inspired by Jazz’s Indian Grandma’s living room from the early 2000s that derived from memories of spending time with her as a child. An experimental film re-imagines India’s first reincarnation thriller film ‘Mahal (1949)’ that plays on the TV-set exploring the discourse of immigrant families not sharing a common language generationally, leading to gaps in information and a loss in family history and a shared sense of reflection.
